Iron Man might be the most popular Avenger, but it wasn’t always that way. Before Robert Downey Jr. made his defining mark on the character, Tony Stark was in a weird place in the comics. For the longest time, nobody really knew what to do with him — hence the types of stories where Tony’s suit comes alive and falls in love with him. This month, a Senate committee held a hearing on whether to halt the growing number of state laws reducing access to abortion services in the name of protecting women’s health. The “expert” testimony revealed just how much these laws rely on fringe science and discredited research.
So, it’s a lot like the “reparative therapy” the far right is so in favor of in that regard.
